Kwame Nkrumah was overthrown from office in 1966. Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah on February 24,1966 was overthrown as President of the Republic of Ghana by a group of senior military officers led by Major General Emmanuel Kwasi Kotoka. Osagyefo's reign is still considered by many Ghanaians as the best reign in the history of this country. Among the many feats is the birth of the Ghana Institute of Journalism. The organizers, GIJ Freedom Centre, is hereby inviting all students in and outside the institute, the media and the general public to come and witness this educative dialogue.
