It is hard to overestimate the damage the Freedom Caucus has done to the fledgling presidency of Donald Trump, and to the country. It is the young Trump presidency, however, that takes the biggest hit here. House Speaker Paul Ryan will be dragged through the mud for failing to win enough votes. The Trump White House is apparently going to move on to the other items on the agenda. But with Democrats and the Freedom Caucus standing in the way of the Trump agenda, nearly everything becomes impossible.
