SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union — Sixty-five couples tied the knot in a mass wedding officiated by Mayor Hermenegildo Gualberto at the public plaza here on Thursday. It was considered a dream wedding for couples who could not afford an expensive wedding ceremony and reception. The wedding ring, Barong Tagalog, wedding gown and bouquet, photographer, videographer, food, cake, and gifts were paid for by the city government. The women were fully made up wearing their white wedding gown while their respective grooms were clad in Barong Tagalog. Among the couples who tied the knot include a pregnant woman and couples with several children and grandchildren already.
