RANAU: The National Heart Institute (IJN) offered free medical check-ups and other activities to the local community in Sabah’s highland district here, in conjunction with Malaysia Day celebrations. Co-organised by IJN Foundation and IJN Cycling Club (IJNCC), the event was also part of the institute’s My Heart, My Life Cycling Tour programme, which is aimed at enhancing heart health awareness among Sabahans, particularly the less fortunate. The IJN foundation welcomes cooperation from corporate companies to assist the less fortunate,” he said. IJN also received RM5,000 from Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad and an additional RM1,500 from Servier Malaysia Sdn Bhd. Tomorrow, the team is expected to continue their cycling tour to Kota Marudu and return to Kota Kinabalu.
