Egypt’s museums will open their doors free-of-charge to Egyptian, Arab and foreign visitors on Thursday, May 18 as part of the Antiquities Ministry’s celebrations for International Museums Day. Elham Salah, head of the Ministry’s museums sector, said in remarks that the decision is a tradition adopted by the ministry to encourage people to visit the museums and raise archaeological awareness.
