CALDWELL, LACONIA DAILY SUNFRANKLIN — The New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration has set Franklin’s 2017 tax rate at $25.56 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, a 33-cent, or 1.3 percent, increase from the 2016 rate of $25.23. Over two years, the rate has increased by 53 cents, or 2.1 percent, from its 2015 rate of $25.03 per $1,000. The county tax rate rose by 1 cent, from $2.90 in 2016 to $2.91. Changes in the tax rate do not necessarily equate to changes in the homeowner’s tax bill. Franklin's tax rate is up 1.3 percent.
