MANILA, Philippines – Gilas hopes to reverse its fortunes when it takes on the University of Perpetual Help in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup on Wednesday at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan. The Gilas cadets, winless in three matches after losing to Ateneo, La Salle and San Beda in that order, tackle a rebuilding Perpetual Help Altas side in the main game at 6:30 p.m. However, the Kobe Paras-led nationals cannot take Perpetual Help lightly as the Altas are now coached by former San Beda Red Lion mentor Frankie Lim, who is a stickler for tough defense. The Cardinals and the Bulldogs take to the Filoil Flying V Centre court at 12:30 p.m. Tickets to the Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup can be purchased at the gate of the venue.
