But Thomas is not dead, and Fox News meant to pay tribute to former MLB outfielder Frank Thomas, a three-time MLB All-Star who was born in 1929 and died on January 16 at the age of 93. The now 55-year-old Thomas, who was a Fox baseball analyst from 2014 until this past spring, responded to his "death" on social media. "We misidentified Frank Thomas, the three-time All-Star for the Pittsburgh Pirates," anchor Julie Banderas said. "The Frank Thomas we showed you unfortunately was also a former pro baseball.
