Frank McAvennie has opened up on his darkest days, when he spent time in prison, and how advice from actor Ray Winstone helped him after went bankrupt. The former Celtic, West Ham and Scotland star, 64, said he became lost after he retired from playing in 1995 and felt he lacked purpose. The programme charts McAvennie's meteoric rise to fame after signing for London club West Ham United from St Mirren in 1985, and how he gained a reputation both on the pitch and off it.
