France helps Vietnam evaluate universities

France helps Vietnam evaluate universitiesFour Vietnamese universities will be the first to be evaluated and tested by the High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Hceres) from France. Minister of Education and Training Bui Van Ga visited France in early 2016 and asked Hceres to help evaluate the universities that participated in the Vietnamese-French Training Programme of excellent Engineers (PFIEV). The four universities have to prepare self-reports in accordance with Hceres' standards since last April and submitted the reports in January. It also sent a team to Vietnam and concluded that the universities had met the requirements to start the evaluation process. It evaluates around 50 bodies, 600 university training programmes and 300 master and doctoral training programmes annually.
