France Lauds Morocco’s Migration Policy

French President Emmanuel Macron commended the achievements of Morocco under the reign of King Mohammed VI citing notably the Kingdom’s leadership on the global migration agenda. Macron lauded the human dimension underlying Morocco’s migration policy, noting that the 11th World Forum on Migration next December in Marrakech would offer a chance to learn from the policy launched by Morocco in 2013 to manage migration and asylum. “Morocco’s commitment to attach a human dimension to migration is precious,” said Macron in a message to King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the Throne Day. At the bilateral level, President Macron expressed satisfaction at the close partnership binding the two countries, saying that French-Moroccan relations are poised to deepen in the current context. He also stressed the need to reinforce cooperation in the fight against terrorism and radicalization.
