Fox tumbles out of Vic Open

Shocking third round sees Kiwi golfer Ryan Fox miss second cut at Victorian OpenGRAHAM DENHOLM/GETTY IMAGES New Zealand golfer Ryan Fox had a poor third round to crash out of contention at the Victorian Open. New Zealand's top male golfer, Ryan Fox, has tumbled out of the Victorian Open after a disastrous third round on Saturday saw him miss the second cut. After posting a six-under par 66 in Thursday's opening round to be in a tie for 15th, Fox's strong start to the year continued with a second round 68 then having him tied for ninth, still four shots off the lead. But that all gave way on Saturday, when the 32-year-old struck a triple bogey on the par-four 13th and a double bogey on the par-five 18th - in carding a four-over 76, as high winds and some heavy rain made for a trickier outing. One Kiwi was able to make it to the final round, however, with James Anstiss in the group of 13 at seven-under, despite a third-round 74, which also featured a triple bogey.
