About 94 percent of Latino registered voters said choosing a Hispanic running mate would not have made them more likely to vote for Clinton. If Trump had chosen a Latino running mate, 95 of registered voters said that decision would not have made them more likely to vote for the billionaire businessman. “Were Latinos disappointed in the picks?” Eduardo Gamarra, a political scientist at Florida International University in Miami told Fox News Latino. Overall, however, it appears that Kaine’s fluency in Spanish does little to either help or hurt Clinton with the Latino vote.
