Fourteen employees of Alliance's Smithfield plant in Timaru are in self-isolation after undergoing Covid-19 tests following the positive test result of a colleague. On Wednesday, the meat processing co-operative confirmed one of its night-shift employees had tested positive for Covid-19. He received notification of his positive test result on Tuesday and was recovering at home.
