Kaptembwo, Mbaruku/Eburu, Mai Mahiu, and Njoro wards are the biggest winners in the sharing of Sh816 million Nakuru County ward development kitty. However, this is the lowest equitable share of development allocation ever in the county for the last three years. In the absence of the third generation formula of sharing the Sh316 billion from the National Treasury, the ward development kitty has reduced by almost a half. At least eight wards including Olkaria, Mauche, Mau Narok, Nyota, Kabazi, Elburgon, Molo, Viwandani in Naivasha were allocated Sh16 million each. Solai, Kiptagich, Kihingo, Menengai West, Kabatini, Kamara, Kiamaina, Menengai East, Biashara in Nakuru, East have each been allocated Sh14 million.
