The convicted have been identified as Boni Amin Shikdar, 20, Rahim Sheikh, 21, Raju Shikdar, 20, and Nuhu Sheikh, 28 of Alaipur in Rupsha upazila. The two acquitted have been identified as Jashim Shikdar 59, and Siraj Shikdar, 52. The convicts had confessed to strangling Musa to death over a dispute regarding unpaid dues at his grocery shop before dumping his body in the river. Mustakim Shikdar, the father of the deceased, lodged a complaint in court on September 27. Following a court order, a murder case was recorded at Rupsha police station on January 15, 2019.
