Nairobi Police arrested four suspects found repackaging government fertilizer meant for subsidy along Nanyuki road in Lunga Lunga Nairobi. During the raid at a godown where the operations were taking place, the police also found out that the group was also repackaging relief food. Police said they seized 1360 bags of rice and 200 bags of maize that were in the process of being repackaged. On May 26, at least eight suspects were arrested after more than 4,000 bags of government fertilizer valued at more than Sh16 million went missing. The government is targeting to distribute 300,000 metric tons or six million bags of 50kgs of planting fertiliser.
