The injured are homeowner Samsul Hoque’s daughters – Priti, 11, Sweety, 13, and Muktamoni, 16, and their aunt, Khatun Nesa, 65. They were initially taken to Raipura Upazila Health Complex and then shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). According to locals, Samsul’s sons, Biplob Mia and Shohag Mia, were convicted in a murder case, after which their family went into hiding. Biplob recently received bail and the family returned to their home on Monday. “The fire was not a deadly one and members of the Fire Service were able to douse it quite easily.”Previously, Biplob was accused in multiple cases, including murder, he added.
