Four dams in Luzon continue to release water as a precautionary measure against floods, the weather bureau said Monday. The Ambuklao dam in Benguet opened its seven gates as its level reached 750.89 meters, near the critical water level of 752 meters. Binga dam in the same location opened six of its gates as the water reservoir reached 573.77 meters, also close to its spilling level of 575 meters. San Roque dam in Pangasinan had two gates open as its water level reached 284.75 meters. The towns near the dam — San Manuel, San Nicolas, Tayug, Santa Maria, Villasis, Asingan, Rosales, Alcala, Bayambang, and Bautista — were warned about the water release.
