Four people have been arrested after a spate of burglaries from Southland farms during the Christmas-New Year period. Two men, aged 37 and 24, have appeared in the Invercargill District Court and were remanded to reappear on January 31. A 15-year-old male youth would appear at the Invercargill Youth Court today. A woman from Invercargill had also appeared in the district court, charged with receiving some of the stolen property. Detective Sergeant Grant Johnstone, of Invercargill, said police had recovered some of the stolen property which included fuel containers, electrical tools, frozen meat, jewellery, clothing and lawnmowers.
