Clearly, it is not just men, but incompetent men who over-index in leadership roles. So, what are the main ways in which we can help more women get to the top? And given that gender differences in leadership potential more often favor women than men, it would be more logical to ask men to emulate women. (2) Stop promoting incompetent men: A good way to help more competent women to the top is to make it harder for incompetent men to succeed. This would be a wonderful innovation, making leader selection gender blind.
