The boat was towed to the Navy base in Songkhla at 11am on Saturday. Officials said a patrol vessel found the fishing boat harvesting sea cucumbers near Tachee cape in Pattani. The Vietnamese said they travelled from Ca Mau in Vietnam. Since October, the Navy has captured 40 Vietnamese fishing boats and detained 229 crew members.
