The majority of the projectiles were intercepted and destroyed before they could reach their intended objectives, according to the report. Syrian air defense systems intercepted Israeli missiles over the western countryside of Damascus on April 14. An unnamed military source said at the time that the missiles were reportedly fired from the direction of Syria’s Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. The Syrian government says the Israeli regime and its Western and regional allies are aiding Takfiri terrorist groups that are wreaking havoc in the country. The Tel Aviv regime mostly keeps quiet about its attacks on Syrian territories which many view as knee-jerk reaction to Syrian government’s increasing success in confronting terrorism.
