Ithaca Police are searching for evidence outside of Cornell Laundry and Cleaning Center — located downtown on the 100 block of S. Meadow Street — after receiving reports of four gunshots in the area on Sunday night. Wendy, an employee at Jade Garden Chinese Restaurant across the street from the scene, said she heard four gunshots and then saw police arrive shortly thereafter. Another employee of the restaurant echoed her account. Wendy said IPD requested footage from the store’s two video cameras, and that the manager would soon be at the restaurant to download whatever the cameras had caught on tape. “IPD officers have responded to the report of shots fired,” said IPD Officer Jamie Williamson.
