Doctor Arif of Dhaka National Medical Institute Hospital’s emergency department, who gave a single name, said they treated four students shot and injured in the attack. Members of Bangladesh Chhatra League’s Jagannath University unit started for the Dhaka University campus on two buses around 3pm. Later, the protesters of Jagannath University started gathering at the main gate of their campus. The protesters, armed with sticks, then marched towards Dhaka University but came under attack when their procession reached Rai Saheb Bazar.
