Fountain honouring late Queen's Platinum Jubilee has been switched on

A fountain honouring the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee has been switched on. The Windsor Platinum Jubilee Foundation, located near Windsor Castle, provides free drinking water for residents and visitors, in a bid to reduce single-use plastic bottles. The fountain was among the Windsor Platinum Jubilee Committee’s projects to celebrate the late Queen’s 70-year reign. The fountain is designed by Black Isle Bronze Foundry and LDN Architects, and the final design was chosen by Her Majesty before her death. This week, Royal Borough mayor Cllr Neil Knowles, Cllr Amy Tisi, and chairman of the Windsor Platinum Jubilee Committee Graham Barker were among the first to refill their reusable bottles.
