Found envelopes full of cash turned into police in Coquitlam, B.C.


Coquitlam police are investigating three separate incidents of money found in envelopes in public places that have not been claimed. The cash packets have been found in different locations, including a supermarket and a mall, and RCMP want to return the money to its owners. An anonymous person turned in an envelope full of money to mall security, who passed it onto police on Sept. 21. Then, on Nov. 18, it happened again, with the anonymous person describing the owner of the money as Asian. Anyone with information about the three envelopes of lost money is asked to call the Coquitlam RCMP non-emergency number at 604-945-1550.
