Most of these are visual for obvious reasons: mobile devices just don't have the juice of a full-fledged console or gaming PC. The mobile games have visual indicators that show you in-game sounds from explosions to footsteps to gunfire, assumedly for people playing with the sound off. It's a clear competitive advantage for players on mobile: visual indicators are more accurate and provide more information than the audio cues of PC and console. Contained on iOS, the visual indicators can't really shake up the game all that much. So why does Epic need to bring the visual cues into the game?
