The super popular video game from Epic Games, Fortnite, launched in late July 2017, is taking the video game world by storm. In roughly one year, the game has captured over 50 Billion views on YouTube, according to Tubular Labs, a video intelligence and measurement firm. While it may not seem like a big number, six percent of YouTube’s video influencers created Fortnite videos. And that means that marketers who spent dollars to sponsor or integrate a campaign into the Fortnite content. Tubular points out that just as influencers creating Fortnite content are not the usual suspects; the same is true of the partners: Dollar Shave Club, Blue Apron, 1-800 Flowers, Honey, and others are sponsoring Fortnite content.
