Iscoyd Park in Wrexham, North Wales, has been in Phil Godsal's family for nearly 200 years - but was requisitioned during the Second World War. In 2009, with the home falling into disrepair, Mr Godsal, 49, borrowed £1million to transform the site into a wedding and conference venue. It has been in the Godsal family since 1843. Restrictions are thought to have cost the UK wedding industry around £5.3billion, as at least 132,000 couples cancelled their weddings in 2020. David Chapman UK Hospitality Executive Director for Wales said: 'Wedding venues are a vital part of the Welsh economy, Welsh communities and the Welsh way of life.
