The 61-year-old man passed away at Mugda General Hospital in Dhaka around 11:30am, said in a condolence message issued by M Shahidul Islam, deputy commissioner of Tangail. Shahidul expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Bazlul Karim. Bazlul Karim had served as deputy commissioner of Tangail from 2009 to 2012. Bazlul's wife Nazmoon Naher Lipy, who was infected with coronavirus, is undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
