more-inThe police on Sunday arrested a 60-year-old man, Boya Ramachandrudu, a former priest at Yellamma temple, on the charge of raping a 16-year-old girl at knife point at Venkayapalli on the outskirts of Kurnool. The police arrested his son on the charge of threatening the victim’s father, who works as a watchman. Ramachandrudu allegedly threatened the girl with a knife and raped her for three days when she came out of her hut to answer the nature’s call at night, the police said. When her father enquired why she was trembling with fear, the victim revealed what had happened to her. When he questioned the accused, he and his son allegedly threatened him with dire consequences, the police added.
