Former radio broadcaster James Daniels will run for Christchurch City Council as an independent in the Coastal ward. Supplied Maugers Contracting boss Phil Mauger is standing for the council as an independent in the Burwood ward. Supplied Fendalton Waimairi Harewood board chairman Sam MacDonald is standing for Christchurch City Council in the Waimairi ward. MacDonald, a chartered accountant, was elected to the community board in 2016. He said the council desperately needed to get back to basics and it was time to put an accountant on the council.
