PETALING JAYA: The Human Resource Development Fund has appointed retired diplomat Datuk Noor Farida Mohd Ariffin (pic) as the chairman of its board of directors. "Noor Farida has had a long and distinguished career in public service as a judge, legal adviser and diplomat, most notably as the Ambassador of Malaysia to Netherlands. "Since her retirement from the Foreign Ministry in 2012, Noor Farida has, among others, headed the law reform committee at the National Council of Women Organisations," the fund said in a statement. Noor Farida has been the spokesperson of the G25 group, which comprised eminent former civil servants. Last year, HRDF made headlines as high-ranking officers in group had allegedly misappropriated about RM100mil in funds.
