Former Swedish PM Carl Bildt most popular choice as new Moderate leader: poll


Former PM Carl Bildt. Inizio polled Swedes on the issue for newspaper Aftonbladet at the weekend, interviewing 1,400 people, and former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Carl Bildt got the biggest backing from Moderate voters with 35 percent. The next most popular candidate for Moderate voters according to the poll is former Social Security Minister Ulf Kristersson with 16 percent. The second most popular choice among all voters meanwhile is also a former minister, Mikael Odenberg with 11 percent. Kinberg Batra announced her resignation as Moderate leader on August 25th after they continued to perform badly in the polls and voices within the party expressed their discontent.
