Former Stroud Conservative MP blasts Boris Johnson

A FORMER Conservative MP for Stroud has blasted Boris Johnson after last night's no-confidence vote. Neil Carmichael - who represented the Stroud constituency between 2010 and 2017 - took to social media after the Prime Minister won last night's no-confidence vote. The Prime Minister won with 211 votes but a significant minority of 148 Tory MPs voted to usurp him and several have said his days in the role are now numbered. "Fundamental integrity is essential in politics - actions, decisions and policies must be rooted in evidence, process and trust," wrote the former Stroud MP. https://t.co/Xoz9aGad1m — Neil Carmichael (@carmichaelneil_) June 7, 2022"The ‘vote of confidence’ result for the Prime Minister is very damaging.
