SASKATOON—A former Saskatchewan physician who was stripped of his medical licence has been calling himself a doctor online. Josias Furstenberg lost his medical licence and had his Prince Albert office shut down after 10 charges of unprofessional conduct for allegedly having sex with his patients and prescribing large quantities of opiods. Furstenberg has resurfaced on a YouTube channel called Pinky and the Doc, where he shares medical information and health advice. He refers to himself as Doctor Jof and encourages people to “ask the doctor anything.” Earlier this week, Furstenberg added a disclaimer to the site saying he does not diagnose, treat or prevent any medical conditions and that the videos are only for educational purposes.
