Former Punjab governor censures PML-N for wanting to be ‘political martyrs’


LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee member and former Punjab governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is planning to become a “political martyr”, adding that all its attempts to harm democracy would end up in nothing. He was meeting PTI leaders in his office in Lahore. Those present included Chaudhry Khalid Gujar, Zain Sheikh, Youth Wing leader Ubaidur Rehman, Azam Virk, NGO “Democrat Reporting” official Safdar Ali, Naseem Ur Rehman and Anjum Rafique. He said that the nation honoured the martyrs of security forces and the sacrifices made by armed forces. The PTI leader said that his party stood by democracy, institutions and the rule of law, urging for the bringing forward of substantial and meaningful accountability and electoral reforms in the country.
