Former Proteas all-rounder Wayne Parnell was signed by Northamptonshire County Cricket Club as an overseas player for the entirety of the 2021 season. Parnell, who joins former Cape Cobras batsman Richard Levi in Northamptonshire, will be available for selection in all three formats in the English summer. I love county cricket and I hope I can contribute to the club being successful on all fronts," said Parnell in a Northamptonshire press release. Steelbacks skipper Josh Cobb believed Parnell will be a great asset to the county. Parnell is set to arrive in the UK later this month, and will be available for selection in the Club's opening County Championship fixture at home against Kent on 8 April.
