ABC News broke the story on Monday that former Vice President Mike Pence’s Chief of Staff appeared before a federal grand jury investigating the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Marc Short gave testimony last week in response to a subpoena, making him the highest-ranking member of the Trump administration to have cooperated thus far with the grand jury. Short also met with the January 6th House Select Committee in late January, and numerous clips from Short’s filmed deposition with committee investigators were played during its televised hearings.
