Former ICT permanent secretary Bitange Ndemo has been appointed as a non-executive and independent director of Safaricom. Safaricom chairman Nicholas Ng'ang'a said the ex-PS was taken on board following his expertise in the ICT sector. Ndemo currently lectures on Entrepreneurship and Research Methods at the University of Nairobi’s school of business. "Most of his research centers on the link between ICT and small and medium enterprises in Kenya," Ng'ang'a said. The board further announced the appointment of Vivek Badrinath as director of the company representing Vodafone Kenya Limited.
