Former New Plymouth District Councillor Maurice Betts has been remembered as a loving husband and father. Well-known former district councillor and "absolute gentleman" Maurice Betts has lost his battle with cancer. "You'd be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't have a kind word to say about Maurice," former New Plymouth mayor Peter Tennent said.
