Monrovia – A former National Basketball Association (NBA) star, Olumedi Oyedeji, has called on coaches and referees of basketball in Liberia, to help develop the game. Report by Macaulay Sombai [email protected] 00231777217428Oyedeji made the call when he served as special guest during a one-day training workshop organized by the Liberia Basketball Association (LBA). The veteran NBA star, who is in the country on a five-day visit, said his aim is to help develop and promote basketball among the younger generation in Liberia and to also help educate basketball coaches and referees about the rules of the game. “I am here today to help develop the minds of basketball coaches and referees so that they too can help their association to develop the minds of the youth who have passion for the game. Anderson called on the participants to put in to practice the knowledge they acquired from the workshop.
