Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani will have a place in the Donald Trump administration as a cyber security expert. Trump’s transition team announced Thursday that Giuliani will provide his team with insight on “private sector cyber security problems and emerging solutions”. A staunch Trump supporter, the former mayor has led his own security consulting firm, and worked on cyber security for a major law firm since leaving City Hall. Trump also announced an upcoming series of meetings with corporate executives from companies that have faced cyber security issues. Cyber security has been a sensitive topic for Trump since allegations that members of his inner circle colluded with Russian hackers to influence the outcome of the election.
