Former Assistant Minister Betty Tett. PHOTO | FILEDirector of Public Prosecutions has ordered a fresh probe against former assistant minister Betty Tett for allegedly enlisting the services of a hitman to murder a business rival. The prosecutor in the case had claimed that the self-confessed hitman, John Linus Wachira, had wrongly implicated Mrs Tett. Mr Wachira was subsequently charged with demanding money with menaces and giving false information to the police. Mr White also claims to have obtained telephone records of supposed conversation between Mrs Tett and Mr Wachira that proves the association between the former MP and the hitman.
