Former British and Irish Lions rugby player and coach Sir Ian McGeechan has collapsed ahead of the second test between the All Blacks and Lions in Wellington. The Scot has been rushed to hospital after collapsing in the commentary box at Westpac Stadium. The rugby knight played 32 tests for Scotland and eight for the Lions, and was head coach of the Lions for four tours between 1989-2009. A gifted and elusive back, he played for the 1977 Lions, coached the 1993 team here, and helped coach the 2005 Lions, tending to the midweek side for Sir Clive Woodward.
