A son of a former Donegal Labour Senator has won a BAFTA for Best Factual Editing in blockbuster Netflix documentary 'Don’t F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer' tonight. Former Senator Jimmy Harte’s son Michael Harte won the prestigious award at tonight’s online event, hosted digitally for the first time ever due to the pandemic. Michael is the son of Jimmy and Mary Harte, who have four children together - Michael, Amy, Lochlainn and Saibh. Michael was nominated for an Oscar and a BAFTA last year for his work in Three Identical Strangers, a documentary about triplets who were separated at birth. “Unfortunately, we’ve won a f****ing BAFTA tonight, so it’s going to be hard to hide it from granny any more,” he laughed.
