Fellow former Kiwis coach Frank Endacott said both Taumalolo and Tohu Harris didn't see enough action but was confident Kidwell would learn from his mistake. Endacott was more scathing of another Shaun in the team - centre Shaun Kenny-Dowall - and the part he played in a troubled defensive effort on the right-side edge.
