Former JMPD officer shot dead a motorist during a road rage incident in October 2019. Bongani Silence Baloyi, shot and killed Seja Lawrence Nkwana during a heated exchange. A former Johannesburg Metro Police Department officer has been sentenced to 18 years' imprisonment for premeditated murder relating to an October 2019 road rage incident. Bongani Silence Baloyi appeared in the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg on Monday, where he was sentenced for murder as well as three counts of attempted murder. Baloyi shot and killed Seja Lawrence Nkwana on 3 October 2019 while Nkwana and three passengers were travelling in a Nissan towards Honeydew.
