The state's unemployment department has processed 3.2 million unemployment claims because of the coronavirus, Newsom said in a news briefing on Monday, KXTV reported. “California is just too big for one man to try to control and some of these lawsuits are going to overturn his rules,” he continued. The counties, with a population of about 500,000, have seen fewer than 100 confirmed coronavirus cases and a handful of deaths. As of Wednesday, California has reported more than 46,000 coronavirus cases and 1,862 deaths, according to data compiled by Fox News. More than half of the state’s cases and deaths have been reported in Los Angeles County, according to Johns Hopkins University.
